A sincere, warm welcome awaits all at Belper Church.

Spiritualism was active in Belper long before the Church was built.  Meetings were held in an upper room of a Mr W P Adsheads’building in Campbell St.  It was from friends at these meetings that a desire was born to have and build a church where they could worship and hold services together.  Thoughts and wishes reached fruition in Queen Victoria’s Jubilee Year 1887.  Mr Adsheads laid the foundation stone and the building was named Jubille Hall.  It is due to the dedication and wisdom of the pioneers of long ago that we have this grand Church in Belper today.
